The votes are in and travellers around the world have decided on which restaurants are the crème-de-la-crème for 2024.
Popular travel site and bookings platform, Trip Advisor, released its Travelers Choice Awards for Best of the Best Restaurants in 2024 when it comes to fine dining.
According to the travel site, it is worth getting on the waiting list for these places as they offer the best in hospitality service, the best-in-class chefs and unforgettable bites.
“The Travelers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best title celebrates the highest level of excellence in travel.
“It’s awarded to those who receive a high volume of above-and-beyond reviews and opinions from the Tripadvisor community over a 12-month period. Out of our 8 million listings, fewer than 1% achieve this milestone,” said the travel site.
Two South African restaurants made it onto the list of top 25 best of the best fine dinning restaurants making them number the best in the Africa region.
La Colombe in Constantia received a 4.5 rating out of 3 284 reviews ranking it in 20th place whilst FYN in Cape Town ranked 22nd with a 4.5 rating out of 402 reviews.
In second place in Africa is Morocco’s L'Ô à la Bouche - Marrakech sitting at 21st place in the world’s best of the best rankings for 2024.
