Innocent Maela expect Orlando Pirates youngsters to have a telling impact when they take on Kaizer Chiefs at the FNB Stadium on Saturday (3,30pm kick-off)
The Buccaneers have been front-runners to put a stop to Mamelodi Sundowns unbeatable surge over the last seven seasons, and they will head into the crunch encounter as clear favourites to derail Amakhosi’s’ resurgence under coach Nasredine Nabi.

History has it that form counts for very little. It could be thrown out of the window as soon as the first whistle is blown and the thousands in the stands and around the country start cheering from the top of their lungs as South Africa’s most successful football combat takes center stage.
The Sea Robbers have had their neighbours number with two wins from their last two clashes and Pirates captain Maela expects more of the same this weekend, especially with the form that some of their young players, particularly Relebohile Mofokeng and Mohau Nkota, have shown recently.
“Its going to be an exciting open game for everyone involved, with a lot of goals.” Maela commented ahead of the clash on Thursday.
“We have worked really hard throughout the years to be where we are today. We have also put a lot of focus on our daily duties, doing the little things correctly, and making sure we are consistent to make sure when we go out there we can execute our plans.”
“When we play, we are all in unison and we all know what we need to do to execute our plans. The young players have been amazing; their humbleness and the way they prepare themselves are just at another level; it's their time and we are there to support them as the senior players.”
