Goolam Muhammad Suliman Vawda, better known by his notorious X persona @goolammv spent large amounts of money on cocaine binges with ANC leaders and prostitutes.
This was revealed through investigations conducted by Independent Media into his shadowy lifestyle.
Vawda, who rose to prominence through his provocative and controversial posts on X formerly Twitter, has long been a thorn in the side of political figures and public personalities with nobody being able to unmask his true identity - this until an Independent Media investigation.
Earlier this week, criminal charges relating to the Cybercrimes Act were lodged against Vawda with the SAPS by amongst others, former intelligence minister Lindiwe Sisulu.
Sources close to the investigation revealed that Vawda had been implicated in numerous cocaine-fuelled parties attended on occasion by high ranking ANC officials. These gatherings, are said to have involved rampant drug use and the company of prostitutes both male and female.
Shortly after being exposed by Independent Media, Vawda cryptically posted on X that he was leaving the country. Independent Media has been unable to confirm if this is indeed the case.
Independent Media was able to link Vawda to properties in Winterton and Morningside in KwaZulu-Natal and Tshwane in Gauteng.
Investigations also revealed Vawda had benefited from numerous state contracts and third party deals due to his proximity to ANC leaders.
