SENURAN Muthusamy's game as a spin-bowling all-rounder has come a long way having started his career predominantly as a spinner.
Over the last few seasons, the 31-year-old has been able to prove that he is more than just a bowler, with teams promoting him up the order on a regular basis.
Earlier this week, Muthusamy blasted an unbeaten 82-ball 93, a knock which saw the left-handed batter smash three sixes and six boundaries to guide the Warriors to a 121-run victory over the North West Dragons at the JB Marks Oval in Potchefstroom.
It was an exceptional effort from Muthusamy, more so given that he came in to bat with the Warriors in trouble on 73/4. His 147-run stand with Andile Mogakane (58) was key to the Warriors' victory.

Muthusamy went on to register sparkling bowling figures of 1/25 in 9.2 overs, as the 31-year-old dominated his previous team during the Cricket South Africa One Day Cup contest.
"I think as an all-rounder in 50-over cricket, I've been really consistent over the past two seasons. Firstly at the Dolphins and then at the Dragons and now at the Warriors," the KZN-born Muthusamy told Independent Media.
"I think I add great value with the bats and the ball and in the field and I try to do my best for the team and put in match-winning performances and performances that influence the game.
"I probably need to improve on my, maybe my power hitting at the back end of innings to contest for the all-rounder spot in the ODI side, probably just to become more consistent at that."
The Warriors currently sit second in the standings having lost only one game in four matches. The Gqeberha-based outfit will travel to the highveld this weekend to take on the Titans at SuperSport Park on Sunday.
With the Titans also coming from a big victory over Western Province in Cape Town earlier this week, the contest promises to be entertaining as teams are left with only three fixtures to make a case for the two spots in the final.
"We have three more games. It is important to win and we are fully focused on the next game, which is Titans at Centurion, so all our focus is there," said Muthusamy.
"We'll be looking to do the basics really well and follow our processes and put in a few big performances in the next week or so. I'm really looking forward to the challenge ahead."
