Hamamatsu, Japan - Suzuki has released just the two rather shadowy teaser images you see above - little more than silhouettes, if we're honest - of two concepts that will headline its display at next month's Geneva motor show.
The iK-2, it says, is an updated, upmarket compact car, developed on the theme of “Harmonised Force” - which, we assume, is Suzukinese for a cheeky little car with above-average performance and decent suspension.
Since this is exactly what Suzuki is best known for, it's no surprise - but we're keen to see Hamamatsu's latest take on the genre.
SIGNIFICANT STEP UP
The iM-4, by contrast, is an all-new proposal for a mini 4x4, under the design brief “Shape the Inspiration”, for which it has promised the usual Suzuki compact all-wheel drive system, as well as a raft of new technologies wrapped in distinctive styling.
Even judging by the teaser image, it looks like a significant step forward from the now severely outdated Jimny.
No details of powertrains or trim have been released - all will be revealed at the presentation on Tuesday 3 March in Hall 4 at Geneva, says Suzuki, and thereafter on the dedicated Suzuki Geneva 2015 website .
We expect the usual, slightly conservative but consciously upmarket Suzuki approach - just as long as they don't have brake master cylinders made out of Thai noodles!
