Durban - eThekwini Municipality has issued a list of the beaches and swimming pools that are open to the public.
The municipality said the city is constantly monitoring water quality at all beaches and pools to ensure the safety of residents and visitors.
“The status of beaches and pools will be updated as and when their status changes. You can still enjoy other recreational activities at closed beaches. You just can’t swim. Please keep our beach areas clean by using bins for litter,” said the city.
Below is a list of beaches and swimming pools that are safe to be enjoyed by visitors and residents:
Swimming pools open to the public (Operating hours 9am - 5pm):

- Westville
- Kings Park Indoor and Kings Park Outdoor
Beaches open for swimming (Operating hours 6am - 6.30pm):
