Mzansi’s very own pop princess Tyla has once again reminded us that when it comes to fashion, she’s in a league of her own.

Known for her daring style and ever-evolving looks, Tyla turned heads at the Jacquemus Fall 2025 show, proving that the fashion rulebook simply doesn’t exist in her world as she slays every time.

This past weekend, Tyla arrived at Jacquemas's pre-Paris fashion presentation serving drama, elegance and just the right amount of edge. She wore a high-neck, sleeveless gown with bold plunging side cut-outs, revealing her hips and sides while still keeping it chic.

Draped back, the gown flowed like a cape and was held together by sleek gold hardware in the centre, giving goddess vibes.

She rounded off the look with Jacquemus’ Cubisto pointed-toe slingback heels with bows - because even the shoes needed to do the most.

And the finishing touches were Crystal-striped hoop earrings that screamed luxury and a little bit of "don’t talk to me unless you’ve got range".

It’s giving a touch of Rihanna during her “Good Girl Gone Bad” era, when she made audacious skin-baring looks her thing.

And let’s be honest, there’s a sprinkle of Kim Kardashian energy in there too because when it comes to showing skin with style, Kim K practically wrote the manual.

As if her look wasn’t enough to get people talking, Tyla brought her playful energy to Instagram with a caption that had us laughing: “The way we have to pretend like it’s not Antarctica weather outside. Yoh hai it’s cold here @jacquemus 🐾.”

Tyla wasn’t alone in the front row, either. She was rubbing shoulders with an A-list crowd that included icons like Pamela Anderson, Tems, Odell Beckham Jr., Central Cee and Raye, and even French legends, Carla Bruni and Audrey Tautou.

Sis is clearly moving in elite circles.

Tyla was spotted seated next to thee Anna Wintour. In the world of fashion and entertainment, sharing space with the Vogue editor-in-chief is nothing short of a career milestone.

But not everyone is celebrating Tyla’s rising star and bold wardrobe choices.

Controversial figure Jaguar Wright previously weighed in, expressing concern over what she called the “over-sexualisation” of the young star.

Wright, who’s no stranger to stirring the pot, questioned whether Tyla’s image aligns with the age of her fanbase.

“I don’t believe in what they’re doing to her,” Wright said during a conversation. “She doesn’t look a day over 14 years old. You never see her fully dressed. She’s always half-naked.

“We always have to see her skin, we always have to see her body. Just because she comes from South Africa, it doesn’t mean every woman from South Africa is running around with a loincloth, gyrating her genitalia and her a**.”

While Wright’s comments have sparked a wider debate about representation and artistry, Tyla’s fans have been quick to defend her, highlighting that her fashion is a form of self-expression and an extension of her bold, unapologetic personality.
