A moment the internet will not forget... when one of the world's richest men face-planted while scuttling around to meet his partner.

Jeff Bezos's trip was caught on a live feed of Blue Origin's historic space flight on Monday afternoon.

Bezos's partner, Lauren Sanchez was aboard the flight.

"The Amazon founder tripped into a ditch near her space flight capsule in West Texas during the live broadcast of the take off and landing – but quickly recovered and embraced Sánchez," reported entertainment news site, Bang Showbiz.

The clip showing Bezos's fall has gone viral!

Bang Showbiz reported that the clip shows Bezos bounding over to the space capsule and peering through the windows of the New Shepard craft, before he appeared to try and head for its door.

"Seemingly distracted by the excitement of reuniting with Lauren after her 11-minute jaunt into space, Jeff overlooked the huge ditch which in front of him and fell right into it," the site said.

It didn't take too long for social media users to joke about Bezos's fall.

Sanchez's crew also featured Katy Perry, Gayle King, Aisha Bowe, Amanda Nguyen and Kerianne Flynn.

Speaking moments before blast-off, Bezos could not contain his excitement, sharing with Sanchez that he was excited for her.

"I’m so excited for you. I don’t want to get off. I want to go with you. When you get back, I can’t wait to hear how it’s changed you. I love all of you. See you soon. Godspeed," he said.

Blue Origin's Senior Vice President, New Shepard, Phil Joyce, said each of these women is a storyteller who will use their voices—individually and together—to channel their life-changing experience.

"This will create a lasting impact that will inspire people across our planet for generations. Thank you to this remarkable crew for uplifting so many on their historic journey toward the stars and back," he said.
