Renowned South African actress Brenda Ngxoli has thanked her followers and fans for showing her support after she shared on Instagram a video of her and her mother arguing.
In her clip, Ngxoli said that she felt that it was important to share a proof of life video after all the support she was receiving from the public.
Ngxoli thanked everyone for reaching out to her, showing her support and admitted that it was never her intention to share her personal journey with the public and thought she would die with her secret.
She also thanked those who opened their hearts and made donations to her, digital creator Mandisi Tshingana managed to raise R50 310.91 through his followers. He has since also managed to raise another R30 079.25.
"I know I did not ask for money but God knows I needed it. I was sitting and wondering about my next plan but you guys showed up. God works in mysterious ways, and I just want to thank every one of you for reminding me that I am a worthy human being," she said.
Her comment section was filled with comments from people such as Somizi Mhlongo, Manaka Ranaka, Lady Du, Kayise Ngqula, Sizwe Mdlalose and more showed support.
This is not the first time Ngxoli has opened up about her personal matters with alleged verbal and physical abuse by family members, and her homelessness.
“I said it: 2024 is the year I speak out from personal to professional. I’ve kept quiet for the sake of my family’s integrity. But all I’m doing is creating a safe haven for shenanigans that do not grow nor heal us as a family.
“I’m done covering up my scars. For my child’s sake. May she know that even if it was a while later? Mama spoke out.
“If you dare talk about what you don’t like, you will be told you are mentally unstable and your tone is wrong. I have been repeatedly threatened with being taken to the media. Exposed and destroyed. So here I am.”
